Modern Vanitas reimagines the tradition of vanitas painting through contemporary symbols of resilience and collapse. These works transform everyday objects and moments (pill bottles, melting popsicles, train rides, quiet acts of composure) into reflections on memory, survival, and impermanence. By blending art historical devotion with the absurdity of modern life, the series asks how we carry both fragility and persistence in the spaces we inhabit.
