Celebrating Art and Resilience: ‘Thank You, Have a Nice Day’ at Dama Gallery

I am thrilled to announce the inclusion of my painting, ‘Thank You, Have a Nice Day,’ in the Bureau of Queer Art Volume 4’s anniversary publication and show at Dama Gallery in Ventura, California.

‘Thank You, Have a Nice Day’ embodies a poignant reflection on environmental impact and resilience, created during my time in the Incubator residency with Art Gallery Studios. This painting, with its satirical narrative featuring a lone crow amidst a human-affected landscape, invites viewers to ponder the consequences of our actions while finding moments of connection and empathy.

The opening reception at Dama Gallery was a space for diverse voices to come together to explore the intersections of art, identity, and cultural critique.

‘Thank You, Have a Nice Day’ will be on display at Dama Gallery through June 2024, offering visitors in Ventura, California, an opportunity to experience its thought-provoking narrative in person.

For those unable to visit in person, you can view ‘Thank You, Have a Nice Day’ online on Artsy.net until August 8th. This virtual platform extends the reach of the exhibition, allowing art enthusiasts worldwide to engage with its themes of environmental stewardship and artistic expression.
